Screening someone’s history is more important than ever in Florida. According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), hundreds of thousands of arrests are recorded statewide each year, and Florida consistently reports over 500,000 arrests annually across all offense categories. In fast-growing areas like Fort Lauderdale, where new residents and businesses relocate every year, verifying information before hiring, renting, or entering into agreements is a practical safeguard. A simple online search rarely captures the context behind a criminal record check, and incomplete data can lead to costly misunderstandings.
Here at Grey Ghost – Private Investigator Fort Lauderdale, we approach every background check with careful review and verification. Rather than relying solely on automated systems, we examine records, confirm identifying details, and ensure findings are tied to the correct individual. Professional oversight reduces the risk of misidentification, outdated data, or missing case dispositions. When conducting a criminal background check in Fort Lauderdale, the focus stays on accuracy, lawful access to information, and organized reporting. A structured background investigation service in Fort Lauderdale provides clarity, especially when decisions involve employment, tenant placement, or personal safety.

Best Fort Lauderdale investigators! They really helped me out when I was in a tough spot. Ana, the owner, was super helpful, kind and an expert in private investigations. I hope I don't need them again, lol, but if anything comes up, I'll use them again.
When my “trust issues” started causing problems in my relationship, I called these Fort Lauderdale private investigators —and wow, they delivered! They were fast to respond, kind and affordable. As far as outcome - let's just say that I am now single and happy 🙌. Thanks Grey Ghost! You're the best.

This private investigation agency does all of our tenant screening reports. I love that I can order the reports through their site. I usually get the background checks back within an hour. All the information is accurate and up to date. Thanks Grey Ghost, you're the best!
Long story short: my dog was dog-napped by a very dramatic family member (you can’t make this stuff up). I was heartbroken and had no idea where he was taken. Enter the heroes at Grey Ghost in Fort Lauderdale. They did surveillance (yes, like a real-life spy movie) and actually found my dog! I’m talking secret photos, tailing cars, and everything short of a Mission: Impossible soundtrack. If you ever need a private investigator in Fort Lauderdale, especially for something as wild and emotional as a missing pup, these are your people. I got my dog back — and some serious closure.
I own several businesses in Fort Lauderdale and these investigators have helped me out numerous times. I can always count on them to give me timely and accurate results. No one else comes close to their level of professionalism and expertise.

Not my first rodeo with this outfit, but certainly appreciated the results. It's amazing what a little bit of professionalism and a whole lot of honesty can get one through a rough patch in life. These Fort Lauderdale Private Investigator really helped me out.
i've been around the block when it comes to PIs and situations in which a PI would be necessary, so I know a few things regarding who is offering a good service and who isn't. i've worked with them twice already and each time they do not disappoint. thorough, experienced and professional, they answer all your questions with compassion and patience as well as do a detailed job when hired. i fully recommend them to anyone in need of an investigator.
Grey ghost investigations are the best investigators you will find. Their expertise is top notch & they have excellent communication skills. They’ll provide the answers you’re looking for. Definitely check them out you will be glad you did!
I have worked with two other investigators, and this team was by far the best investigators i have ever worked with!! I even had them watch over another investigator who was doing a poor job. They were very professional, timely, accurate, thorough with assessments and up-close video recordings, my videos and reports were uploaded almost immediately, and the follow up was immediate and it showed how much they cared about my case. They are so familiar with the South East Florida region. I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again!!

The Grey Ghost team took my call on a Sunday at 7pm and by 9pm, they already started the surveillance. They gave me all the information I needed by the end of the night.
